New York City Ballet

I really love Pentagram’s new identity for the New York City Ballet, despite Brand New‘s rather lukewarm review.

It appeals to my natural minimalist inclinations, but for me it’s an identity that looks beautiful in isolation and even better in situ – I particularly like its use in the NYCB lobby (see the link above for more).

There is something about a reflection of the rigour and discipline inherent in dance and the neutrality of the palette that really connects with me.

Just stunning.
